The petitioner preferred an application for furlough. The said application came to be rejected. Being aggrieved thereby the petitioner preferred Appeal. The said Appeal was dismissed by order dated 14/12/2016. Hence, this Petition. 3.

The application of the petitioner for furlough came to be rejected on the ground that earlier on 18/06/2002 when the petitioner was released on parole for a period of 30 days, he 1/2

902. wp 1558.17.doc did not report back to the prison in time. Ultimately, the police have to trace him, arrest him and bring him back to the prison. There was delay of 4567 days in reporting back to the prison. On account of this, the authority apprehended that if the petitioner is released again on parole, he will abscond and will not report back to the prison in time. Looking to the fact that the petitioner has overstayed for almost 13 years, we find that there is much merit in this apprehension. Hence, we are not inclined to interfere.
