The Writ Petitioner claims to be a Co-Operative Housing Society with members being Class-I category State Government Employees.

Grievance relates to CIDCO conducting draw of lots to allot land to Co-Operative Societies to build flats thereon for its members and while so doing excluding Plot No. 11.

Prayer made is to direct CIDCO to conduct draw of lots for Plot No.11 as well. As per the Petition it is pleaded that 18 Co-Operative Societies had applied for their names to be included in the draw of lots out of which 16 Societies were found eligible. 4.

Prima facie, a Court cannot issue a mandamus to an Authority to proceed ahead with the draw of lots. 5.

Be that as it may, since none appears for the Petitioner to press the petition, the same is dismissed. Pravin D.
