Having heard learned Counsel appearing for the respective parties, in our view, this writ petition can be disposed of by directing the Commissioner of Police Mumbai, or the Competent Authority deputed by him to decide the Petitioner's application dated 5th December 2014 for renewal of police licence for the social purposes [Exhibit-D to the petition] as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within the period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly. 2.

This Court has not gone into merits of the matter and application of the Petitioner shall be decided on its own merits.
