DATE : 19 APRIL 2022 P.C. :- The Petitioner has moved this matter on the ground that today the meeting is scheduled for declaring the result of the election for the post of Sarpanch. The said meeting was held on 3rd April 2022.

It appears that the Petitioner has already approached the Commissioner. The Commissioner had passed the order to maintain the position as it is on 1st April 2022. The Petitioner has also filed
38. WP 4695.22.doc the Writ Petition bearing No.3861 of 2022. Under order dated 8 April 2022 the Writ Petition is disposed off as the Petitioner has availed the remedy of appeal.

The Commissioner has kept the appeal for hearing on 28th April 2022. Naturally, the parties may appear before the said authority and put forth their submissions. Till the appeal is decided, the further steps may not be undertaken by the Respondents including the Returning Officer declaring the result of the election of Sarpanch.

Parties may take further steps in tune with the judgment delivered by the Commissioner in the appeal filed by the Petitioner. 5.
The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
