The petition is filed by the Petitioner, an association, challenging an advertisement issued by the State of Maharashtra for filling up the post of Senior Research Officer, Grade-A (Class II) in various Tribal Development Departments. The learned AGP points out that since it is relatable to service with the State Government, the Petitioner-association will have to approach the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that since the Petitioner is espousing larger interest, the Petitioner cannot approach
Trupti 2 4-wp-5769-2024.doc the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal. Even assuming that it is to be so, we find no particulars as to bona fides of this Association. Merely by annexing registration certificate, bona fides are not proved. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner states that the Petitioner is working for the welfare and conservation of tribal candidates, however, what are the activities of the Petitioner is not explained.
