It appears that at the relevant time, the petitioner was in jail and prayed for his release on bail. He also prayed for expeditious trial. 2.
Learned APP has tendered across the Bar, a report prepared and signed by the Senior Jailor, Taloja Central Prison, Navi Mumbai, which is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification. From the said report, it appears that the petitioner was released on bail on 10.05.2018. 3.
In view thereof, prayer of the petitioner for releasing him on bail stands redressed.

The other prayer of the petitioner for the expeditious trial appears to be reasonable.

In case the trial of MCOC Spl.Case No.4 of 2013 arising out of Crime No.185 of 2008 registered with Khopoli Police Station for the offences punishable under Sections 395, 458, 352, 506(2) of IPC and Sections 3(1) (ii), 3(2), 3(4) and 3(5) of the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act, 1/2
20_WP1583_17.doc 1999 is still pending, the said trial be expedited and taken to the logical end as expeditiously as possible, and in any case, within one year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Petition stands disposed of accordingly. 6.
Registry shall send a copy of this order to the concerned jail authority, who in turn, shall communicate the same to the petitioner if he is available in the jail. Copy of this order be also forwarded to the concerned Court where the aforementioned trial is going on.
