Heard the learned Counsel for the parties.

This is an application for pre-arrest bail in connection with C.R.No.179 of 2024 registered with Sakinaka Police Station for the offences punishable under Sections 143, 147, 149, 323, 364A, 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code. 3.

At the outset, learned Counsel for the Applicant submitted that pursuant to the settlement arrived at between the parties, co-accused Saddam Javed Shaikh who had allegedly abducted the victim has been granted regular bail by an order dated 28 March 2024.

Learned Counsel for the first informant submits that the parties have amicably resolved the dispute.

In view of the settlement of the dispute between the parties and the fact that the co-accused Saddam, who had allegedly abducted the victim has been released SSP 1/2

909 ABA 863 OF 2024.doc on bail, at this stage, the custodial interrogation of the applicant does not seem to be warranted. I am, therefore, inclined to allow the application. 6.

Hence, the following order :

ORDER

(i) In the event of the arrest of the Applicant - Salman Javed Shaikh in connection with C.R.No.179 of 2024 registered with Sakinaka Police Station, the Applicant be released on bail on furnishing a PR bond in the sum of Rs.30,000/- with one or two sureties in the like amount.

(ii) The Applicant shall co-operate with the investigation and report to Sakinaka Police Station on 25th and 26th April 2024 between 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., and thereafter, as and when directed.

(iii) The Applicant shall not tamper with the prosecution evidence and/or give threat or inducement to the first informant or any of the prosecution witnesses or any of the persons acquainted with the facts of the case. (iv) The Applicant shall regularly attend the proceedings before the jurisdictional Court.

(v) The application stands disposed.
