The Applicant was convicted and sentenced under sections 302, 364 and other sections of IPC. Being aggrieved by conviction and sentence, the Applicant preferred Criminal Appeal No.95 of 1997. By judgment and order dated 4th May 2001, the Criminal Appeal came to be dismissed by the Division Bench of this Court. Thereafter, the Applicant preferred Special Leave to Appeal (Cri) No.6722 of 2001. By order dated 23rd November 2001, the Special Leave to Appeal, preferred by the VRD

APPA501.15 Applicant, came to be dismissed.

In the present Application, the Applicant has prayed that the sentence imposed on her under section 302 of IPC be reduced. As the Criminal Appeal preferred by the Applicant has already been disposed of by this Court, it is not possible to grant the relief as prayed for by the Applicant. It would be open to the Applicant to approach the appropriate forum as permissible in law.
