Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned AGP for the State, we are of the opinion that this petition can be conveniently disposed of by directing respondent no.5-Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur to decide the representation / proposal dated 2nd July, 2015 filed by respondent nos. 6 and 7 (Copy of which is annexed as page 22 to the petition) which is received in the office of respondent no.5Education Officer on 28th September, 2016, if not already decided, as expeditiously as possible, and within the period of four

Till the petitioner's claim is decided, the respondents are directed to maintain the status quo as it exists today in respect of the post occupied by the petitioner.
