Having heard learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners and learned AGP for the Respondent-State, we are of the opinion that this Petition can be conveniently disposed of by directing Respondent No. 2- The Education Officer to decide the representation/proposal dated 4th August, 2016 filed by the Petitioner No. 2 (Copy of which is annexed at Exhibits 'C' to the petition) if not already decided, as expeditiously as possible, and within the period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

Till the Petitioners' claim is decided, the RespondentState is directed to maintain status-quo as it exists today in respect of the transfer of Petitioner No. 1 from unaided school to aided school.
