The petition is filed seeking direction to respondent No.1 register FIR on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 5th February, 2014. Learned APP does not dispute that though the period of two years has elapsed, no decision is taken as of today. In the circumstances, we dispose of the petition by passing the following order :

The In-charge Officer of Arnala Police Station shall hold a preliminary inquiry in the petitioner's complaint and arrive at an appropriate decision within seven days from today and communicate the same to the petitioner. Ordered accordingly.

In the light of the above order, the petition stands disposed of.
