It is brought to my notice that Appeal against the order of disqualifcation passed by Collector is already fied for hearing on 03/05/2021. The Appeal is fled by the Petitioner who was directly elected as a Sarpanch against the order of the Collector disqualifying the Petitioner under Section 14(1)(J)(3) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat Act. This Petition is fled challenging the refusal on the part of the Appellate Authority in staying the impugned order of the disqualifcation. 1/2

The Petition can be disposed of by directing the Appellate Authority - Additional Commissioner, Konkan Division to dispose of Appeal as eipeditiously as possible. The Petitioner & Respondent No.4 undertake to co-operate with the hearing of the Appeal and will not seek any unnecessary adjournments. 3.

The Appeal may be heard and disposed of as eipeditiously as possible and preferably, within a period of 6 weeks from 03/05/2021.
