Mr. Kantharia, the learned Counsel for the Petitioner, on instructions, seeks leave to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to apply for fresh passport. Leave with liberty as prayed for is granted. Petition is allowed to be withdrawn and is disposed of as such.

In the event, the Petitioner applies for fresh passport within the period of two weeks from today, the Passport Authority shall decide the said application in accordance with the extant rules framed under the Passport Act. The said application shall be decided as expeditiously as possible. It is made clear that all points and contentions of the respective parties are kept open.
