This is an application for transit anticipatory bail in connection with C.R.No.98 of 2021, registered with Katghora Police Station, Korba, Chhattisgarh for the ofence punishable under Section 420 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code. The applicant is a resident of Mumbai. It is submitted that in view of pandemic situation prevailing in the State of Chhattisgarh and State of Maharashtra, the applicant would require a reasonable time of six weeks to approach the competent Court for seeking relief. The applicant was a non executive director in the accused company.

rpa 2/2 16 aba 1097 2021.doc Learned APP submitted that the FIR indicates that huge amount was allegedly misappropriated. At the most, four weeks time may be granted to the applicant to enable him to approach the concerned Court.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances, protection can be granted for a period of four weeks.

:: O R D E R ::

(i) In the event of arrest of applicant in connection with Katghora Police Station, Korba, Chhattisgarh, the applicant be released on bail on executing PR bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount; (ii) This protection has been granted to the applicant for a period of four weeks to enable the applicant to approach the appropriate Court for seeking appropriate relief;

(iii) Anticipatory Bail Application No.1097 of 2021 stands disposed of accordingly.
