This is an Application moved by the learned Advocate for the Appellant for expeditious hearing of the Criminal Appeal. It is seen that the Applicant/Appellant/Accused is in jail custody since 10/10/2012. As such, he is behind bar for a period of about five years. Therefore, as per the Judgment of the Honourable Apex Court in the matter of Hussain & Anr. v. Union of India reported in 2017 (5) SCC 702 , prayer for expeditious hearing of the Appeal deserves consideration. As such, the Order : (i) The Application is allowed.
