Original Accused nos.1 and 3 in Sessions Case No.81 of 2014 were convicted for offences punishable under Sections 370 (1), (2) and (3) Indian Penal Code and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 10 years by judgment and order dated 13th December, 2016
* 2/3 * passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Kalyan. They have also been convicted of rigorous imprisonment for offences punishable under Sections 3 and 4 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 for one year and rigorous imprisonment for three years under Section 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 and rigorous imprisonment for six years under the same Act. Original Accused nos.1 and 3 have also been convicted of rigorous imprisonment for one year for the offences punishable under Sections 3(1), 3(2), 3(3) of the Foreigners Act, 1946.

They have preferred this application for condonation of delay caused in preferring the appeal against the conviction as aforesaid.

Perused the application. Heard Mr. Dedhia, the learned APP for the State. For the reasons stated in the application and in the interest of justice, the delay caused in preferring the Appeal against the conviction is hereby condoned. The application is allowed. The appeal be registered.

The appeal be placed for admission after 3 weeks. Office is directed to inform the applicants herein about the condonation of delay alongwith the copy of the order passed herein.
