As per orders of this Court dated 29/3/2019, the matters are placed today for orders of prayer for condonation of delay. Advocate Halli appears for respondent nos. 3, 4, 7 to 10 and 12. Nobody has appeared for the other respondents.

Advocate Halli points out that the accused nos. 7, 8 and 3 have filed criminal appeals assailing the conviction and those are 1/3

already admitted for final hearing. The other accused persons have also filed similar appeals which are admitted. He further submits that in all these appeals, the complainants (aggrieved persons) have also filed counter appeals and the Registry has obtained some orders for joint consideration of all the appeals. According to him, the present controversy therefore, should have been placed along with that group.

Learned APP submits that after the delay is condoned, prayer for grant of leave to appeal filed by the State Government may be considered along with that group.

In this situation, as the appeals filed by the aggrieved persons are also stated to be admitted, we condone the delay in this matter.

Registry to register the proceedings filed by the State Government seeking leave to appeal.

List the same leave applications along with Criminal Appeal No.1006 of 2017, Cross Criminal Appeal No.1075 of 2017, Criminal 2/3

Application No.525 of 2018, Criminal Application No.221 of 2018 and Criminal Appeal No. 30 of 2018.

Advocate Halli also submits that the State Government might have have already filed similar request by Criminal Application No. 220 of 2018 in Cross appeal. We keep this submission open. 8.

Registry to list all matters together before the appropriate bench.
