This Petition is filed because the Petitioner's caste claim is under scrutiny with the Respondent No.2-Scheduled Tribe Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Pune and while it is pending, the Respondent No.3-Employer has issued directions to the Petitioner to produce the Validity Certificate failing which coercive action would be taken against the Petitioner. The fact that the Petitioner's claim is still pending before the Scrutiny 1/2

901 wp 4812-17.doc Committee is not in dispute. It has not been pointed out to us that the pendency of the proceedings before the Scrutiny Committee is delayed because of the Petitioner. Therefore, in these circumstances we had asked the learned AGP to take instructions within how much time the proceedings would be completed. 3.

Learned AGP on instructions submits that the proceedings before the Scrutiny Committee will be completed withing a period of four months.

Writ Petition is disposed of directing the RespondentScrutiny Committee to decide the pending proceedings within a period of four months. The ad-interim order granted in this Petition on 24 April 2017 be continued till disposal of the proceedings before the Scrutiny Committee. The Petitioner shall cooperate with the early disposal of proceedings before the Scrutiny Committee.
