Interim Application No.140/2021 was sent through jail by the Applicant expressing his desire to withdraw Criminal Revision Application No.236/2017. 2.

Considering the request, vide order dated 24.8.2023 I had directed the Legal Services Authority of this Deshmane(PS)

Court to appoint an Advocate from their Panel. Accordingly Advocate Ms. Anu Kaladharan was appointed. The appointed counsel was directed to verify the Applicant' s desire to withdraw the Revision Application.

Learned appointed counsel informs the Court that when she contacted the Superintendent of the concerned prison she was informed that the Applicant was not detained in the prison. Learned APP makes a statement, on instructions, that the Applicant has served his complete sentence and was released on 22.5.2021.

Learned counsel holding for the Advocate on record for the Applicant in Criminal Revision Application No.236/2017 makes submission and statement, on instructions, that the Revision Application be allowed to be withdrawn as it has become infructuous because the Applicant has served his entire sentence. The Applicant does not wish to continue proceeding with this Revision Application further. The statement is recorded and accepted.

Considering this, nothing further survives in this Interim Application as well as in the Revision Application. Therefore, Interim Application No.140/2021 as well as Criminal Revision Application No.236/2017 are disposed of as having rendered infructuous.
