The Respondent had challenged the order of transfer dated 22 March 2017 by filing an Original Application before the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal.

The Tribunal, by order dated 22 August 2017 set aside the order of transfer. The Petition was filed on 5 April 2018 and has remained pending and not been circulated for any orders. It is now

38. WP 2152.19.doc six years since the order of transfer has been set aside. Thereafter, there must have been subsequent developments taken place. The normal tenure of transfer of the government servant is of ten years. Therefore, the cause raised in this Petition for all practicable purpose will not survive.
