This is an application sent through Jail by the applicant for expediting his trial or in the alternative, to grant him bail.
2) Heard Ms. Nijhawan, learned counsel appointed as amicus curie. Learned counsel appointed for the applicant submitted that the applicant is accused in Sessions Case No.156/2012 arising out of C.R.No.99/2012 registered with Dahisar Police Station under section 395 of the I.P.C. and under sections 3 and 25 of the of the Arms Act. She further submitted that the other co accused persons have already been released on bail and the applicant is languishing in jail for more than three years. She submitted that in Sessions Case No.156/2012 the trial court has framed

2 /2 BA-841-15 the charge on 18.1.2013 however, since last more than two years only one witness has been examined. The learned APP. submitted that as on today two witnesses have been examined and the prosecution is intending to examine approximately 14-more witnesses. Taking into consideration the fact that the charge in the present case has been framed on 18.1.2013 and only two witnesses have been examined.
The Trial Court is hereby directed to conclude the trial within a period of 9-months from the date of receipt of the order.
