This is an application seeking condonation of delay in filing appeal against conviction. The delay is of 26 days. For the reasons assigned in Ground Nos. (ii), (iii) and (iv), delay of 26 days in filing appeal against the conviction deserves to be condoned in the interest of justice Hence, the application is allowed in terms of prayer clause (a) and stands disposed of accordingly.

The learned Counsel for the applicant seeks liberty to add the victim as respondent in appeal memo. Liberty as prayed for is granted. Amendment to be carried out within 2 weeks.
