In response to the letter received from the applicant who is incarcerated since 15/09/2017, I had asked the learned APP to obtain instructions. She informed that the applicant is being tried for the offence of murder along with Section 201, 404, 120 (b) r/w 34 of IPC by the District Judge-I and Additional Sessions Judge, Vasai, in Sessions Case No.112/2017. On instructions from the Mr. P.K. Maske, who is present in the Court, she state that till date 10 witnesses are examined and 5 more witnesses are to be examined on behalf of Ashish

Accepting the aforesaid statement, with a request being forwarded to the Additional Sessions Judge, Vasai, to make every endeavor to conclude the trial on or before 31/12/2024, the application stands disposed off. The above order shall be communicated to Sitaram Ashokkumar Dwivedi, through the Superintendent, Thane Central Prison.
