Heard learned Counsel for the parties.

The only grievance raised in the Writ Petition is that despite a proposal seeking increase the number of students at the Petitioner' s hostel having been made to the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Solapur on 21st July, 2016 the same has not been considered till date. Rekha Patil 1/2

09-wp-8253-2018.odt The Petitioner seeks a direction be issued to the Respondent No.5 to consider that proposal and thereafter forward the same to the Respondent No.3.

Considering the limited relief sought, the Writ Petition is disposed of by issuing following directions;

(a) Respondent No. 5 shall process the Application dated 21st July, 2016 made by the Petitioner-Trust seeking to increase the number of students at its hostel. (b) After processing the same, the proposal be forwarded to the Respondent No.3-The Social Welfare Officer, Divisional Social Welfare Department, Pune expeditiously.

(c) The Social Welfare Officer shall thereafter consider that proposal in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two months from receiving the same.

(d) The Petitioner shall communicate this Order to the Respondent No. 5 to enable necessary steps to be taken.

Rule is made absolute in aforesaid terms.
