CORAM :

NITIN JAMDAR AND M.S. KARNIK, JJ.

DATE :

6 February 2020.

P.C. :

The Petitioners had earlier filed writ petitions which were disposed of by this Court by judgments and orders dated 15 April 2016 and 15 June 2016 permitting the Petitioners to make representations to the appropriate authority within two weeks and the concerned respondent was to consider the same in accordance with law preferably within eight weeks. Since the representations were not decided within the time limit stipulated, these contempt petitions have been filed. Reply-affidavit is filed by Varsha M. Bharose, Deputy Secretary, Public Health Department, Mantralaya tendering unconditional apology for not deciding the representations in time. It is stated that there was delay in complying with the order as the Petitioners made representations to the Additional Director, State Family Welfare Office, Pune and it took some time and because of which delay had occurred. The representations have now been decided.

2.

Accepting the unconditional apology tendered by the Deputy Secretary and reiterated by the learned AGP, we dispose of these contempt petitions.
