The Interim Application has been filed seeking extension of period for import and clearance of balance quantity of 7,850 Mts of Pigeon Peas till 30.09.2021.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties it appears

14. IA 1107-2021.doc that the period of six weeks appearing in the operative order passed on 08.04.2021 had been with reference to that the period of foreign trade policy had expired on 30.03.2021. 3.

Learned counsel for the Applicant/Petitioner has referred to that the period of six weeks which had been granted for the further import had not been feasible on account of various reasons and to that now, period of operation of the policy has been extended upto 30.09.2021 under a notification dated 31.03.2021. As such, the period for import and clearance of the goods may be extended upto 30.09.2021.

Learned counsel for the Respondents have no particular objection having regard to the extension of period under the notification dated 31.03.2021. As such, the Interim Application is allowed in terms of prayer clause (b). 5.

The Application is disposed of.
