Heard learned counsel for the parties.

By this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner is seeking directions against the respondent No.2Scheduled Tribe Certifcate Scrutiny Committee, Konkan Division, Thane to pass fnal order with regard to caste claim of the petitioner since the case is closed for orders on 19.3.2021. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent No.3 by their letter dated 19.4.2021 (Exhibit-B at page 18 to the petition) had informed the concerned ofcer that as the Dinesh S. Sherla 1/2

2/2 6-cwp-1196-21.doc petitioner failed to place on record the caste validity certifcate within six months from the date of appointment, necessary action be taken against him. Hence, the petitioner preferred the present petition.

Learned AGP appearing on behalf of the respondent- State, submits that he received instructions from the concerned ofcer that they will pass the fnal orders within one week from today. Statement is accepted.

In view of these facts, the following order is passed. a.

Respondent No.2 - Scheduled Tribe Certifcate Scrutiny Committee, Konkan Division, Thane is directed to pass the fnal order on the application of the petitioner for validity of caste certifcate within one week from today and communicate the said order to the petitioner immediately. b.

All other contentions of the petitioner are kept open. c.

Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. d.

No order as to costs.
