The petitioner participated in the recruitment process advertised by respondents in the year 2013. The learned Counsel appearing for respondents 2 and 3 filed affidavit-in-reply of the Asst. Block Development Officer Krupali Bangar. In Paragraph-4 of the affidavit, the deponent states as under:

However, one lady namely Priyanka Gurme though was

2/2 12wpst11417.18.doc selected, the said lady did not join and therefore the said post was remained vacant. No doubt Petitioner was entitled to get the said post, however, during a period of more than 2 and half year he did not turned up to the office Zilla Parishad Thane. The record shows that on different occasion i.e. on 2.12.2017, 7.12.2017, 8.12.2017 and 8.2.2018 the Petitioner appears to be have filed the Applications only to get certain information from Thane Zilla Parishad Thane and thereafter on first occasion i.e. on 23.3.2018 the Petitioner submitted his Application after the validity period of waiting list (i.e. 1 year). Therefore, it was not possible for the Zilla Parishad to accept him for the post of Kantrati Gramsevak in the category of blind and visual Impairment Disables." 2.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the petition. Leave is granted. The Writ Petition stands disposed of as withdrawn.
