Heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned APP for the State.

The learned counsel for the applicant, on instruction, seeks leave to withdraw the application. The learned counsel, however, submits that the trial may be expedited as the applicant has been in custody for more than two years.

Having regard to the nature of the occurrence and the number of witnesses to be examined, the learned Session Judge seized with the Session Case, arising out of C.R. No. 262 of 2021 registered with Shil Daighar police station, is requested to make an endeavour to conclude the trial within a period of one year from the date of communication of this order.

If the trial is not concluded within a period of one year, the applicant shall have the liberty to renew the prayer for bail. Application disposed.
