By this petition the petitioner is challenging the order dated 14th October, 2011 passed by the Superintendent of Kolhapur Central Prison. By the said order the petitioner's name is removed from the register of remission.

The petitioner is a life convict. He was granted furlough for the period of 30 days. The period of 30 days expired on 7th June, 2007. The petitioner, however, did not surrender after the expiry of this period. He absconded and ultimately was arrested on 15th pps

41 wp 1593-13.doc September, 2011 i.e. after more than four years after the expiry of the furlough leave. In the circumstances, we do not find any default in the impugned order and there is no reason to interfere with the same. Petition is accordingly dismissed.
