Heard the learned Advocate for the Applicant and the learned APP. 2.

The Applicant is arraigned for the offence punishable under Section 135 of the Electricity Act, 2003. Having regard to the nature of the offence, custodial interrogation of the Applicant does not seem to be warranted. The Applicant has also deposited compounding charges of Rs.5,60,000/-. 3.

Hence, the order of interim protection dated 28 th April, 2022 stands confirmed on the same terms and conditions.

The Applicant shall regularly attend the proceedings before the jurisdictional Court.

The Application stands disposed.
