IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY
CIVIL APPELLATE JURISDICTION WRIT PETITION NO.4314 OF 2013 Maharashtra State Zilla Parishad Leepik Vargiya Karmachari Sanghatana .... Petitioner Vs.
The State of Maharashtra & Others .... Respondents Mr. Gaurang C. Jhaveri i/by Mr. Mahendra N. Sandhyanshiv for the Petitioner.
Ms Sushma Bhende, AGP, for Respondent No.1.
CORAM: S.C. DHARMADHIKARI & B.P. COLABAWALLA, JJ.
DATE : NOVEMBER 25, 2016 P.C:
1.
The grievance of the petitioner is with regard to certain guidelines issued by Government Resolution (GR) dated 18-4-2013. The grievance is that this GR outlines a policy for transfer, which is arbitrary, unjust and unreasonable and that GR is not in conformity with Sections 248 and 274 of the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961.

When this petition was placed before us, Ms Bhende, appearing for the respondent-State, states that there are subsequent developments. Now, the earlier GR and impugned in the writ petition is rescinded and stands superseded by a GR dated 15-5-2014. There is a corrigendum issued to it on 2-7-2014. The petitioner will now be governed by these two GRs.
3.
The petitioner's counsel, therefore, does not seriously dispute the fact that the grievance of the petitioner is sufficiently redressed. If that is redressed, the writ petition does not survive and it is disposed of as such.
4.
Copies of the subsequent GRs are taken on record and collectively marked as "X" for identification. (B.P. COLABAWALLA, J.) (S.C. DHARMADHIKARI, J.)
