The grievance of the petitioner is that his case for validation of caste claim is pending before 2nd respondent - Scheduled Tribe Certificate Scrutiny Committee (for short 'Committee') since 17/11/2005. He submits that in the absence of submitting caste validity certificate, respondent No.3 has issued a notice dated 31/03/2018 - Exhibit 'A' to the petitioner 1/2

914. wp 4879.18.doc asking the petitioner to submit caste validity certificate within one week failing which his services will be terminated. He submits that for no fault of him, he is likely to lose job. 3.

Having considered the submissions of learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned AGP, we dispose of this Writ Petition by directing 2nd respondent - Committee to decide the caste validity claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible but not later than 31/12/2018. Till the said claim is decided the services of the petitioner shall not be terminated for non-production of the caste validity certificate. 4.

We direct the petitioner to appear before the Committee on 02/05/2018 at 11.00 a.m. We further direct the petitioner to co-operate the Committee for deciding the matter within aforesaid time limit and no unwarranted and unnecessary adjournment shall granted by the Committee to the petitioner.
