On 30/06/2021, the applicants who were arraigned as accused in C.R. No. 153 of 2021, accusing of offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 323, 504, 506 406, 354, and 509 of Indian Penal Code were granted protection from arrest. Pertinent to note that the court had expected parties to mediate since the complainant is the daughter-in-law of the applicant no.1 and the wife of applicant no.2 and the dispute was on account of the family affairs.

2/2 12 ABA 1193.21.doc The learned APP on instructions state that the applicant have rendered their cooperation in investigation and hence the custodial interrogation is not necessary. The learned APP state that pursuant to order dated 6/06/2022 applicant no.2 had reported to the police station. The other applicants have also cooperated with investigation and hence their custodial interrogation is not necessary.

As a sequel, the order dated 30/06/2021 is confirmed subject to the stipulation that the applicant shall in no way create any pressure upon the complainant or shall not try to influence her or deter her from prosecuting her complaint. Application is disposed off.
