The learned Counsel for the applicant further submits that the applicant has been in custody for more than seven years and there has been no progress in the trial. 5.

The learned APP, on instructions, submits that the charge has been framed. However, evidence has yet not been recorded.

In view of the period of incarceration, the prayer for expeditious conclusion of the trial becomes justifiable. 7.

The learned Sessions Judge seized with SC No.273 of 2018 arising out of CR No.542 of 2017 is requested to make an endeavour to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible and, preferably, within a period of seven months from the date of the communication of this order. 8.

The applicant shall render necessary cooperation in the expeditious conclusion of the trial.

In the event the trial is not concluded within the stipulated period, the applicant shall be at liberty to revive the prayer for bail.
