By this Interim Application, the applicant seeks restoration of the Writ Petition No. 3557 of 1987 to its original position and for other reliefs.

We have heard the learned counsel for the parties and have perused the averments in the Interim Application. The applicant has made out a case for restoration of writ petition for the reasons recorded in paragraphs 11 and 12 of the Interim Application. For the reasons recorded in the Interim Application, Interim Application is allowed in terms of prayer clause (b). Writ Petition No. 3557 of 1987 is restored to file along with interim orders, if any.

In view of this subsequent events having been intervened, we grant liberty to the applicant to file Interim Application for seeking amendment to the writ petition which was filed in the year 1987 to bring such subsequent events on record and for additional prayers in the petition. If any Interim Application is filed, same shall be placed on board along with Writ Petition No. 3557 of 1987 on 24th February, 2022. If there is no objection from the respondents, the Court will hear the petition finally forthwith after disposal of the Interim Application for amendment.
