The substantial prayer clause (2) in the Writ Petition reads as follows:

"ii) the Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue Writ of Mandamus or any appropriate writ, direction or order directing the Respondents to allow the petitioner to serve as Head Master in Vidya Mandir High School with effect from 10-7-1996."

Thus, the Petitioner is seeking directions to allow him to serve as Head Master. Due to passage of time the Petitioner has retired on superannuation. In these circumstances, the relief sought in the Petition cannot be granted to him. The Petition is dismissed. Rule to stand discharged.
