This is an appeal under Section 54 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 assailing Judgment and Award dated 14/12/1993 passed by the Additional District Judge, Nashik in L.A.R. No.94 of 1985. 2.

The records reveal that the Special Land Acquisition Officer had awarded compensation of Rs.1925/- per hectare for acquired land admeasuring 77 R. The Reference Court has enhanced the determined amount of compensation to Rs.5,775/- after deducting amount awarded by the SLAO. Including statutory benefits and interest total amount payable to the Claimants is Rs.7950/- 3.

Considering that the amount awarded by the Reference 1/2
