Heard the learned Counsels for the parties.

The learned APP has pointed out that during the penency of these appeals, charge-sheet has been fled before the Special Court.

In view of the aforesaid development, in the intevening period, Mr. Gupte, the learned Senior Counsel for the appellants, on instructions, seeks leave to withdraw these 1/2

56&57-CRIAPPEAL466&468-2021.DOC appeals with liberty to prefer regular bail applications before the Special Court. Mr. Gupte further submits that in the backdrop of the period for which the appellants have been in custody, the Special Court be directed to hear the bail applications within a stipulated period.

We fnd the aforesaid request reasonable.

The appeals are disposed of as withdrawn with liberty to fle regular bail applications before the Special Court. 6.

The Special Court is requested to hear and decide the bail applications, to be fled by the appellants - applicants, as expeditiously as possible and, preferably, within a period of three weeks from the date of fling of such applications, in accordance with law.

It is made clear that we have not entered into the merits of the appeals.
