By order dated 21.4.1997, Rule was issued and the Petition was ordered to be heard along with Writ Petition No.3377/1996. By order dated 20.11.2017, after noting that the petitioners are not represented and the Court's notice issued to the petitioners has returned unserved with a remark that they are not residing at that address, as a final opportunity, the Registry was directed to ask the District Court, Thane to trace the petitioners, if possible. The matter was adjourned to 29.1.2018.

Office remark dated 23.1.2018 shows that as per the Court's order dated 20.11.2017, letter was issued to District Court, Thane to trace the petitioners. Report of the District Court, Thane was received with remark that as per the bailiff's report, the petitioners are not residing at the given address

The petition was thereafter listed for final hearing on 15.6.2018. As none appeared for the parties, it was adjourned to 29.6.2018. On 29.6.2018, as and by way of last chance, the matter was adjourned till today. Even today none appears for the petitioners. In view thereof, it seems that the petitioners are not interested in pursuing this Petition. Hence, Petition is dismissed in default. Rule is discharged with no order as to costs. Order accordingly.
