Ms. Gonsalvez, learned counsel for respondent No.1, has tendered a copy of the order dated 3rd May, 2017, passed by the Deputy Secretary to the Government of India, whereunder the detention order dated 16th October, 1992, has been revoked in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 11 of the COFEPOSA Act read with Section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897. The said order is taken on record. 2.

In view of the said order, learned counsel for the petitioner, seeks leave to withdraw the petition as the grievance of the petitioner no more survives. Leave as prayed for, is granted. The writ petition is disposed of as withdrawn.
