By order dated 13/05/2022, the applicant was admitted to interim protection, subject to deposit of Rs.21,00,000/- before the learned J.M.F.C., Vasai.

Noting that there was no compliance, protection was vacated by order dated 14/06/2022.

The applicant, however, was not arrested, though liberty was granted to the Investigating Offcer to effect the arrest. M.M.Salgaonkar

Today, the complainant is present in the Court and he has fled an affdavit through his Advocate stating that he has received the amount of Rs.5,00,000/- and a sum of Rs.30,00,000/- shall be paid to him on or before 30/09/2022. He makes a categorical statement that sum of Rs.6,00,000/- was directly paid to him and a cheque of Rs.10,00,000/- has been handed over to the counsel during the course of the hearing.

In the wake of the above, since the settlement has been effected between the parties and it is so recorded in the affdavit fled by the complainant dated 15/07/2022, the order granting protection from arrest dated 13/05/2022 is restored and it is made absolute.

The affdavit dated 15/07/2022 is taken on record and marked 'X' for identifcation.
