At the outset, it may be mentioned that there is a typographical error in order dated 18/04/2023 wherein the word ' plot'
is wrongly typed instead of the word '
ploy'
. Similarly, the word 'interim' has been typed instead of the word 'temporary' .

Hence, in the 5th line of 5th paragraph, the word "plot" shall be corrected to read as "ploy" and in the 4th line of 5th paragraph, the word "interim" be substituted with the word "temporary". 1/2

By order dated 18/04/2023 this Court had rejected the request to extend the temporary bail on the ground of sickness. This Court had observed that during the period that the Applicant was on temporary bail on medical grounds another crime was registered against him and he had also filed his nomination form for election of Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) at Akluj for the year 2023. This Court had observed that the Applicant, who is otherwise fit to contest the election and against whom another crime has been registered during the interregnum period, seeks extension on the garb of sickness and this is nothing but a ploy to enjoy bail on false grounds. 5.
Learned counsel for the Applicant seeks extension of temporary bail on the ground that the parties have settled the matter and that the Applicant is ready to pay the entire amount. 6.
In view of the reasons recorded in the order dated 20/04/2023, request to extend the temporary bail is rejected and the application is dismissed.
