Perusal of the F.I.R. dated March 27, 2018 resulting in registration of crime No.56/2018 with Khalapur police station, District Raigad for offfence punishable under sections 420, 409, 467, 468, 471, 477A read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code wherein pre-arrest bail is sought, would reveal total defalcation attributed in the crime in question is Rs.98,69,492/-.

During the inquiry, the applicant being Secretary of the Gram Panchayat, was given an opportunity to demonstrate the accounts of the said amount, which he has failed to do so. The amount in question has been withdrawn from the account of the Gram Panchayat and was spent without any authority by the applicant along with other co-accused.

There is sufficient material to infer prima facie involvement of the applicant. As such, the application lacks merits and is rejected.
