On 17th February, 2016, a Division Bench of this court passed an order in Writ Petition No. 2060 of 2016 directing that a revision application pending with the Government and filed on 29th December, 2015 should be disposed of, if not the main matter, at least the interim application therein, as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within a period of two weeks from the date of the order.

When this contempt petition was called out alleging deliberate non-compliance with the order and directions of this court, Mr. Samant-AGP states that on 22nd January, 2018, not only the interim application, but the main revision application itself is disposed of by the State Government. Mr. Samant apologizes for this delay and says that it was not caused intentionally but it was on account of exigencies of work. 3.

Having perused the order of the revisional authority, copy of which is placed on record and marked as 'X' for identification, we find that although belatedly, the order is complied with. Since it is not alleged that the delay was intentional, we do not pass any further orders, but dispose of this contempt petition. It is disposed of.
