This is an application seeking amendment of the Writ Petition No. 8308 of 2022 as contained in the Schedule. 2.
Ms. Jha, learned Counsel for the Interim Applicant submits that since the Writ Petition was filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India and since no consequential averments were Nikita Gadgil 1/3
made in the prayer in that regard, this amendment application has been preferred.
3. Mr. Daga, learned Counsel for the Respondents opposes the said amendment application stating that the Petitioner has alternate remedy.

I have perused the amendment application and also heard the learned Counsel for the parties.

As rightly pointed out by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner, the amendment application is only to clarify that the Petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India and consequential amendment with respect to the prayers thereof. In fact, the Writ Petition itself at page 1 states that the Petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India.

In this view of the matter, the consequential amendment as prayed for in the Schedule to the interim application be allowed. Let the amendment be carried out within a period of one week and let the amended copy of the writ petition be served on the other side, within a period of two weeks thereafter. 7.
Interim application stands disposed of.
