The Applicant apprehends arrest in connection with C.R.No.I 68/2017 registered with Tulinj police station for offence under sections 384, 324, 143, 147 and 149 of IPC. The Applicant was granted interim protection on 2.5.2017. While granting interim protection, this Court had observed that the Applicant along with other accused came at the scene of the offence. The coaccused assaulted the son of the complainant with a sword, belt and wooden rod. The Applicant was present at the scene of the offence and apart from that he did not participate in the crime of assault. The Applicant was directed to attend the police station. In view of the aforesaid circumstances, I am inclined to pass the following order :

O R D E R

(i) Application is allowed.

(ii) Interim order dated 2.5.2017 is hereby confirmed. (iii) The Applicant is directed to report to the Investigating Officer as and when called.
