Versus

The State of Maharashtra & Anr.

.... Respondents ----- Mr. R. N. Kachave for Applicant.

Mr. Swapnil S. Pednekar, APP for State/Respondent. ----- CORAM :SARANG V. KOTWAL, J.

DATE :27th NOVEMBER, 2020 P.C. :

1.

This is an application for modification of the order dated 28/02/2020 Passed in Bail Application No.1727 of 2019. The applicant was directed to be released on bail on his furnishing P. R. Bond of Rs.20,000/- with one or two solvent sureties in the like amount. The present application is filed for permission to furnish cash bail instead of furnishing sureties. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the applicant. I have by Pradeepkumar P. Deshmane Date:

2020.11.28 15:01:14 +0530 perused the order granting bail to the applicant. The offence is Pradeepkumar P. Deshmane Gokhale

: 2 :

03-ia-st-3502-20.odt serious. Learned counsel for the applicant submitted that, within one month he will furnish sureties and for that period he may be released on furnishing cash bail. If the applicant was unable to furnish sureties since February 2020 I can not see any probability that he will furnish sureties within one month. The applicant has to make an arrangement for furnishing sureties as directed by the earlier order. The offence is serious. I am not inclined to allow the applicant to furnish cash bail for a temporary period. 3.

The application is therefore rejected.
