DATED : 20th JUNE, 2022 P.C:- The applicant was released on bail by an order passed by this Court on 20/1/2021 on a provisional cash bail for a period of six weeks. Within the period of six weeks, he was directed to furnish P.R bond in the sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with one or two local sureties in the like amount. This order came to be modified by order dated 17/3/2022 to the effect that the time to furnish the sureties came to be extended by eight weeks. After the order dated 17/3/2021, the applicant moved the present application on 24/5/2021 for further extension of eight weeks. The application was never circulated till 16/6/2022. Tilak

2/2 30 IA 2003-21.doc There is no reason why the applicant did not comply with the order of this Court when it had granted eight weeks time, and period of eight weeks had expired long back.

In any event, when the applicant make a statement that he has been attending the police station as directed and there is no breach of condition, though I am not inclined to grant extension, let him furnish the sureties within a period of one week from today. If the applicant is unable to furnish surety within one week from today, he shall be deprived of his liberty and the Investigating Officer is at liberty to effect his arrest. ( SMT.
