The only prayer made in the writ petition is for directions to be issued to 5th Family Court to consider and decide the Interim Application filed by the petitioner seeking grant of maintenance. It is the specific case of the petitioner that the parties were heard in the aforesaid Interim Application in July 2023 but the said application has not yet been decided.

Considering the fact that the prayer made in the Interim Application is for grant of maintenance and as it is stated that the aforesaid application has already been heard, it is directed that the Interim Application for grant of maintenance filed by petitioner in Maintenance Petition No.15 of 2021 be decided expeditiously and preferably within a period of eight weeks of receiving copy of this order. 4.

Another request made is for expediting the proceedings pending before the Family Court. The petitioner is at liberty to apply to the Family Court for expeditious disposal of the said proceedings. With aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of. Rule accordingly. No costs.
